Oremus
Our members and supporters come from all walks of life and have varying skills, abilities and amounts of free time available but there is always something they can offer ACW. Many are housebound either through illness or some full time home commitment. They cannot come to meetings, write letters or defend the Church’s teaching at public meetings or on radio and TV programmes but they can play a vital part by offering up prayers together with other members to build up a “powerhouse” to underpin what we are trying to do.
We have set up a group called Oremus with this end in view.
A regular notice is sent out containing prayers and prayer intentions.
In addition, if a member is lonely or isolated, someone can be on hand to have a friendly chat.
We produce a Spiritual Communion card for those who for whatever reason may be unable to receive Our Lord sacramentally. We also produce laminated prayer cards invoking St Anne and St Joachim to pray for vocations and for families and a Holy Face card and a Meditation by Cardinal Newman.
